This plant builds a dune by itself. Its woody stems covered with succulent long and narrow leaves grow upright. As the plant is buried under the sand from wind, the underground stems produce new roots and rhizomes. The small portion of vegetation visible at the top hides a proportionally deeper net of roots and stems. This attractive bush is a solid base stabilizer.
